Actor Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Stance After Lending His Voice To Controversial Covid Film

Liam Neeson has given his vocal talents to a feature-length documentary that questions the safety of vaccinations and commends one-time cabinet secretary the political figure.

The Documentary's Disputed Foundation

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is inspired by a popular book co-authored by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was a result of a problematic version of the influenza shot.

The book's collaborator, a producer, has previously authored books with far-right media personality a known commentator. He took to social media praising Neeson's involvement in the project.

A Strong Rebuttal

The team of the actor have released a statement strongly denying suggestions that he holds anti-immunization views.

"Many acknowledge that misconduct might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be equated to being against vaccines," the comment explains. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with the UN children's agency reinforces his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

It noted that the star was not involved in crafting the documentary's messaging and that inquiries about its claims should be directed to the filmmakers.

Major Assertions In the Film

In the film, the voiceover provided by Neeson features several provocative points:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have called for "complete compliance" to health authorities.
  • It declares that "medical science has become dangerously politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • The narration further attacks pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it mentions a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Context and Ongoing Disputes

It further cites a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

In recent weeks, the political figure instructed the CDC to revise its long-held position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the documentary, despite a new report from the WHO confirming no connection has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Advocacy

Differing from the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly shown clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

Two years ago, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's narration saying, "This isn't the conclusion of our journey. Rather, it is the dawn of a new chapter."
