Passionate followers of the pop star are calling for that a person who jumped a barrier and seized the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the Australian man bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore supporters had waited to see the actors of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual version of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected friendship between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, securing several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
