The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning comeback to defeat the Rams in extra time, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.

Overcoming a sixteen-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Los Angeles had already secured a post-season berth earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the postseason after a 24-month hiatus.

With this outcome, the Seahawks have taken over their Conference standings with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Los Angeles, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four standing.

Signal-caller Sam Darnold had two interceptions but regrouped to deliver two scoring throws, including the tying TD to star receiver Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a 13-7 lead at the break before Walker burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for the home side.

Rams defensive back Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for a big return, leading to a one-yard touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's hope with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play forced the contest into overtime.

Although Nacua scored for his another TD in OT, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to set up the game-winning score.
