Ukraine Initiates Large-Scale Manufacturing of Novel Defensive Drones

Ukrainian authorities have declared the commencement of mass production for a new locally engineered interceptor drone to reinforce its aerial protection systems. These UAVs will be based on a domestically developed technology known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Shahed drones. Ukraine’s general staff stated its forces had fired Neptune cruise missiles and deployed multiple kinds of strike drones in the assault against Novorossiysk “within the framework of efforts to diminish the military and economic potential of the invading force.”

Ukraine separately struck an oil refinery in the Saratov area and an energy depot in nearby Engels overnight.

International Sanctions Impact Russian Energy Company

The number two energy company Lukoil said this past Friday it is negotiating with interested parties regarding its international holdings following recent sanctions from the UK and the US and the collapse of a deal with commodity trader Gunvor. “Final arrangements will be announced once conclusive negotiations have been reached and required authorizations have been obtained,” Lukoil commented.
